To improve Provimi’s poultry product offering through research and development, and also to underpin the Company’s innovation process
Main tasks:
- Working with the Science Director of Feed Solutions Poultry Species Group and other researchers at research farm ‘De Viersprong’ to:
- Drive innovative research in poultry for the Provimi Group with the goal of developing novel nutritional products
- Contribute to R&D at other Provimi Centres and to a wider process of innovation in the Species Group
- Assist in developing technology transfer to companies in the Provimi Group
- Designing and implementing experimental protocols, reporting data and writing experimental reports
- Eventual participation in third-party research projects (Universities, third-party research organisations, suppliers)
- Develop and maintain personal learning opportunities relative to poultry nutrition and production; attend conferences, develop literature reviews, become current with digital and published poultry and feed popular press reports
- Establish and oversee specific scientific projects; assist in technical report analysis and writing; present information when required
Profile:
- Postgraduate training (PhD) in nutritional physiology / biochemistry
- Industry interest (poultry, feed)
- Experience and willingness to develop skills within international setting and multi-disciplinary teams
- Capacity to work in close contact with feedstuffs, animals and animal products
Professional Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills - English essential
- Experimental design and statistical analysis

- Enthusiastic creative thinker, without a 9-to-5 mentality
- Open, flexible and pragmatic approach, pro-active and able to take the initiative

Reports:
- Reports to the Science Director of the Poultry Species Group
- Works closely with colleagues at the research farm ‘De Viersprong’ and companies within the Provimi group
Work location and Travel
- Work location is the research farm ‘De Viersprong’,located in Velddriel, the Netherlands
- Some international travel is required
